The point system used to determine the “Player of the Year” has been revised for the 2009 season to reflect the concerns of the membership. As in previous years the players will be split into 2 divisions, “A” and “B”, with the winner of each division receiving the top points, this has not changed from the other system. However, in the new system the next 8 positions will receive points based on the final net scores regardless of which division they are in. The “Player of the Year” will be determined by the player who has the most points at the conclusion of the season. The points will be awarded as follows:

A tie-breaker will only be used to determine the top spot in each division, all other scores will split the points equally.
All points will be doubled for each Major Tournament.
