Week 19 of the 2007 schedule was played this past weekend at the Northview Golf & Country Club. The tournament was our 6th Major of the year coupled with the Annual Summer BBQ, with 64 members and guests entered.
This week saw two first time winners with Mark Pitman and Sandy Sandoval taking the Men’s Divisions and Shamira Jessa taking the title in the Women’s Division.
Mark shot a round of 76 recording 15 pars for the day to win by 1 shot over Robin, Jess, Bob and Jim Foo.
In the “B” Division Sandy’s round was good enough to take the title by 3 strokes over Tony Marasigan. Sandy recorded a round of 96, net 64.
Shamira birdied the 18th hole which proved to be the winner as she took the Women’s title by 1 shot over Lynne Lim, her round of 96, net 72, included 4 pars and 1 birdie on the day.
In the lone Match Play event Jun Tan defeated Marc Thomas on the 18th hole to win 1 up.
Individual leaders on the day were, Mark with his 15 pars and Butch Cusi with 4 birdies for the day. KP winners were, Daniel Thibault with 2, Jun De Chavez, Jess Supnet, Lynne Lim and Marissa Fragante.
This weekend is our 1st Annual Okanagan Tournament, with 26 members and guests entered. The 2 day tournament will be held Sat. and Sunday, results will be posted next week. For all those entered you can find your tee times for both days posted on the tee time page.
