A field of 48 players took part in this weekends tournament held at the Meadow Gardens Golf Club in Pitt Meadows. Scoring this week was much better than in previous weeks with 19 players managing to come in at Par or better. Rene De Leon carded a round of 81, net 64, to take the top spot in the A Division, his round included 8 pars and 2 birdies and was 3 shots better than runner-up Bob Hayes. In the B Division, Cholo Cebrero made his first start of the year a successful one by taking the title in a tie-breaker over Jarett Hayes. Both players recorded scores of net 65 with Cholo coming out on top thanks to his 9 pars for the day.
The winners of the KP prizes were Kevin Jewell, Willie Ducay, Bob Hayes and Mark Pitman.
Butch Cusi recorded the low round for the tournament with a score of 75 including 9 pars and 3 birdies.
In the team event this week, the team of Jun Tan took the top spot with a score of 160 pts. followed closely by Team Hayes with 159 pts. and Team Gonzaga with 154 pts. After 2 weeks of play in the event Team Jun Tan takes the overall lead with 16 pts. 2 better than Team Pitman.
