Week 24 of the 2009 season was played at the Guildford Golf Club with a field of 40 taking part. After 2 weeks of tough scoring conditions this week was a turnaround with 21 players carding scores of par or better. A pair of repeat winners took home the top spots in both Divisions this week with Rene De Leon taking the “A” Division and Dom Cejalvo the “B” Division.

With 3 pars in his last 4 holes, Rene held on to take the title over Robin Perrin by a single stroke. Rene carded 9 pars and 1 birdie on the day to shoot a round of 84, net 66.

Dom recorded pars on the last 2 holes to take the “B” division by 3 shots over Rody Rongavilla, Dom’s round of 86, net 62, included 8 pars along the way.

The KP winners this week were, Robin Perrin, GV Fragante, JoJo Hernandez and Ken Currey.

In the lone Match Play game Jay Isaac took a 1 up victory over Randy Gonzales to advance to the next round.

In the Team Competition the team of Rene Trinidad took the top points with a score of 163 pts. Jun Tan’s team came in 2nd with 148 and Team Hayes took 3rd with 146 pts. With 5 weeks remaining in the competition the team of Mark Pitman holds down 1st place with a 13.5 pt. advantage over Team Emerson.

The tournament at Swaneset this coming Saturday will feature a special team competition with each foursome representing a team, the name of the game is “Sucker in the Bucket” check out the format under the Tournament link at the top of the page.
