44 Members and Guests took part in this weekends tournament held at the Guildford Golf Club. This weeks scores were the best of the season with 24 players posting scores of par or better.

Lito Peralta took the “A” Division title by 2 shots over Robin Perrin and Doug Hume. Lito recorded 5 pars on his front nine 42, and followed up with 4 pars and 2 birdies on the back nine to shoot 37 for a total of 79. In the “B” Division, Tom Murray took the top spot in a tiebreaker over Michael Anthony with both players coming in with net scores of 62.

Michael Anthony recorded a hole-in-one on the par 3 5th hole and not to be outdone Randy Moore in the group behind also recorded a hole-in-one.

Butch Cusi got an eagle 3 on the par 5 4th hole.

Team J. Tan got the top points in the Team Event this week with a team score of 169 followed by Team M. Tan with 166 pts. and Team Hayes with 155 pts. Team Pitman holds an 8 point lead over J. Tan in the overall standings.

Match Play results for this weekend at Guildford.

Carnoustie Golf Club hosted last weeks’ tournament with a limited field of 25 Members and guests taking part. With warm, dry weather the conditions were good for scoring with 8 players coming in with scores of par or better.

In the “A” Division Mark Pitman picked up his league leading 4th win with a round of 76, net 66, to win by 1 shot over Paul Dhaliwal. Mark recorded scores of 38 – 38 with 11 pars and 2 birdies on his round.

In the “B” Division Ken Emerson got his 3rd win of the season on a round of 89, net 66, taking the top spot by 1 stroke over Randy Gibson. Ken’s 3 pars on the final 3 holes proved to be the difference in his victory.

The Kp winners this week were, Rudy Alcantara, Jay Isaac, Rene Trinidad and Ken Emerson.

In the team event, the Pitman team took the top points with a combined total of 143 pts. followed by Team J. Tan with 101 and Team M. Tan with 100. Team Pitman increased its lead in the overall standings with their win and now leads by 9.5 points over Team Emerson.

Jesse Reyes continues to lead the Player of the Year standings with his 95 points. He now holds an 18 point advantage over Mark Pitman. With this weeks tournament at Guildford being a Major and all points doubled the standings could get bunched with Mark, Paul Dhaliwal and Jess Supnet all within 20 points.

Hazelmere Golf & Country Club was the site for the June 12th tournament with 14 “A” Division members and 12 “B” Division members making up the field. The scores for the day were high with the fast greens playing a major factor, the “B” Division came out on top this week with an average net score of 75 compared to that of the “A” Divison’s 80.

Rudy Alcantara shot 42 on the front and back nine for a total of 84, net 72, to take the top spot in the “A” Division in a tiebreaker over Paul Dhaliwal, this was Rudy’s first win of the year.

Ken Emerson picked up his 2nd win of the season on a round of 89, net 66, taking the “B” Division title by 6 shots over Joni C. and Marc Hung.

Team Pitman recorded a team score of 140 points to win this weeks Directors Team Event with Team Emerson placing 2nd with 130 points and Team Marasigan 3rd with 118 points. Team Pitman now leads the overall standings with a total of 36.5 pts. 5.5 pts. up on Team Emerson.

In the Player of the Year race, Jesse Reyes still holds down the top spot with 89 points, 15 points up on Jess Supnet.

The Swaneset Golf Resort hosted week #12 of the season with a field of 26 members taking part in the action. The course proved to be the winner this week with only 2 players posting scores of par or better. Kevin Jewell was the lone player to post a red number this week in his victory in the “A” Division. Kevin shot a 42 on the front side with a 41 on the back nine for a total of 83, with 9 pars and 1 birdie along the way. In the “B” Division, Dave Hollinshead got his 2nd win of the year with a score of 94, net 73, and a 1 shot victory over Dom Cejalvo.

In the Directors Team Event, Team Emerson took the top spot for a 2nd week in a row thanks to the play of Kevin and Dave, with a combined score of 136 pts. Team Pitman came in 2nd with 123 pts. with Team Hayes in 3rd place with 99 pts.

Our 3rd Major Tournament of the season was held on Saturday at the Northview Golf Club under less than ideal conditions, the rain and windy conditions made the scoring difficult. A field of 31 members entered the tournament with 11 players managing to come in at par or better.

In the “A” Division, Jess Supnet recorded scores of 44 and 38 for a total of 82, net 68, and took the top spot in a tie-breaker over Ryan Isaac. This was the 2nd win in as many starts for Jess and with his victory he now moves into 2nd place in the overall point standings.

Dom Cejalvo took the top spot in the “B” Division with a tie-breaker win over Rene Trinidad. Both players carded scores of net 67. This was also Dom’s 2nd win of the season.

The Kp winners this week were, Rene Cusi, JoJo Hernandez and Kevin Ufford.

In the Team Event, Team Emerson was victorious this week thanks to Ryan Isaac’s 40 point effort and a total score of 145 pts. with Team Gonzaga and Team J. Tan close behind with 142 points. Team Gonzaga took over the top spot in the standings holding onto a 1.5 pt. lead over Team Pitman.
