Kamloops Tournament Results

19 Members and guests made the trip to Kamloops to compete in this years Annual Event. With hot, and dry conditions the courses played tough but everyone had a great time. Round 1 was held at the Rivershore Golf Club on Saturday with round 2 played on Sunday at the Dunes Golf Course. Martin Abel took the top spot in the “A” division with two excellent rounds of 82 and 78 to beat out GV Fragante and Mark Pitman by 4 shots. In the “B” division Ken Emerson held off Michael Anthony in the final round to take the title by 4 strokes.

Week 19 Tournament Summary

Guildford Golf Club was the site for week 19 of the schedule with 16 members taking part. In the “A” division Paul Dhaliwal took the top spot with a tie-breaker win over Ryan Isaac. Pauls round of 84, net 65, included 9 pars for the day. In the “B” division Jay Isaac took a 4 shot victory over Dom Cejalvo. Jay’s round of net 63 was the lowest for the day.

This weeks KP winners were Ryan Isaac, Rene Trinidad, George Chua and Juliet Suleman.

Dom Cejalvo advanced to the next round of Match Play with a win over Rene Trinidad.

A field of 40 battled “bugs” and rain this week at Ft. Langley in week 16 of the season with 16 players managing to card scores of par or better.

Robin Perrin got his 2nd straight win and 3rd of the season with a round of 76, net 66, including 11 pars and 1 birdie. With his win Robin climbs to within 5 points of the leader in the Player of The Year competition. Lynne Hayes became the first woman to take the top spot in the “B” division with a round of net 60.

Robin and GV Fragante recorded the most pars for the day with 11 each, while Randy Gonzales got the most birdies with 2.

This weeks KP winners were Menchie Tan, Oscar Apacible, Dave Giles, Dom Cejalvo and Butch Cusi.

In the Match Play event Jess Supnet, Dom Cejalvo and Felix Banting all moved on to the next round with their victories.
