This weeks tournament held at the Swaneset Resort & Golf Club was the 3rd “Major” of the year with 36 members entered. Two first time winners took the event with GV Fragante winning in the A division and Ellis Natividad taking the B division.
GV overcame a tough front nine to post a score of 39 on the back and win in a tie-breaker over Marc Thomas. His round of 83, net 74, included 11 pars and was the lowest gross score for the day. On the B side Ellis recorded 4 pars on his round of 94, net 70, to win by 2 shots over Michael Ahkong. Ellis was the only player to record a net score under par.
Randy Gonzales led the field in birdies with 2, while GV’s 11 pars was the best in that category. The KP’s went to Dom Cejalvo, Kevin Jewell, Martin Abel and Randy Gonzales.
In the Match Play event Joni C defeated Jun Tan 2 up while Kevin Jewell defeated Ryan Isaac in a tie-breaker.

Guildford Golf & Country Club was the site for Week 10 of the schedule with 36 members entered. The course took its toll on the players with only 5 scores coming in at par or better. The signature hole par 3 16th proved to be a daunting task. The hopes of a good finish for many players were lost as tricky wind conditions took many tee-shots to a watery grave. Scores for the day varied from 2 to 14, with the average score of 5.5 making it the toughest hole of the day.
Felix Banting and Ken Emerson each got their 2nd win of the year. Felix recorded 9 pars and 1 birdie on his way to a round of 80, net 68, and a 5 shot victory over Paul Dhaliwal. On the “B” side Ken recorded 4 pars on his round of net 70 and a tie-breaker win over Bart Carntate.
Top individual performances were turned in by Felix and Doug Hume, each had 9 pars and 1 birdie for the day.
This weeks KP winners were Felix with 2, and Celso Manubay and Frank Wongsoo with 1 each.

Carnoustie Golf Club hosted week 9 with 40 members and guests participating in the tournament. The course played tough with only 3 players coming in at par or better, the average score for the “A” division was 90 with the “B” division coming in at 111.
Boy Holgado captured his 3rd title of the year with a round of 88, net 70, to take the “A” division by 3 shots over Marc Thomas. In the “B” division Rene Cusi continued his fine play of late to take the title by 3 strokes over Menchie Tan. Rene shot a round of 88, net 67.
The best individual performances were turned in by Butch Cusi with 8 pars on his round and Mark Pitman leading the way in birdies with 2.
The KP winners were Robin Perrin, Mark Pitman, Bob Hayes and Paul Dhaliwal.

Round one of the Kamloops Tournament will be played at the Rivershore Golf Club on July 26th, start time is 11:31 A.M. green fees are $60.00
Round two will be held at the Dunes Golf Club on July 27th, start time is 9:00 A.M. cost to be announced later.
There will be a practice round on Friday July 25th at a venue to be announced later for anyone who is interested.
This weeks tournament was held at the Redwoods Golf Club with 41 members taking part. Although the conditions were tough 7 members were able to come in with par or better scores. Kevin Jewell became the 2nd two time winner this year with his victory in the A Division and Nick Asistio got his 1st win of the season in the B Division.
Kevin was able to record 10 pars in his round of 82, net 69, and take the A Division by 2 strokes over Randy Moore. Nick’s round included 3 pars on his way to a round of 100, net 66, and a slim 1 shot victory over runner-up Joni C.
This weeks KP winners were Robin Perrin, Jun Tan and Wilson Canupin with 2.
The best individual rounds were recorded by Doug Hume with a gross score of 81 and shared the par honours with Kevin, each getting 10 on the day. Mark Pitman led the way in birdies with 2.

Surrey Golf Club was the site for the 2nd Major Tournament of the season with a full field of 54 participating.
The “A” division title went to Boy Holgado with his 2nd win of the year. Boy shot a round of 84, net 65, to take the title by 1 stroke over runner-up Craig Thomas. The “B” division title went to Danny Aganon with a score of 96, net 62, and a 5 stroke advantage over Rene Cusi.
The best individual performances were turned in by Doug Hume with 12 pars on his round, and Butch Cusi who recorded 5 birdies for the day.
The KP honours went to Butch Cusi, Rene Trinidad, Reden Hernandez and Ken Emerson.
