The “Flags” Event format

Filed under: Latest News — admin @ 12:04 am

This coming Saturday at Belmont we will be playing an additional event for all Members. In this event all players will be given a “flag” with a score written on it. The score will be based on 80% of their handicap plus 70 (the par for Belmont). The object of the game is to complete the round within the allotted number on the flag. If for example your flag says 85, you play the course until you take your 85th shot, at the point where that shot ends up you would place your flag, if it happens to be on a green you would place the flag behind the green not on it. The player who gets the farthest or completes the round will be declared the winner. A tiebreaker will be used if more than 1 player completes the course. The flight captains will keep a running total of the scores so each player will know where they stand.
